	SKUNK BATH FOR DOGS There are a few "recipes" out there for skunk baths for your dog. Ranging from tomato juice baths, to Skunk Off products at the pet stores, it leaves you wondering if any of this stuff really works. What I can tell you is for those of you with light colored dogs may want to stay clear from the tomato bath - your dog might turn pinkish!

The veterinary clinic I worked at had an awesome recipe for dogs that have been SKUNKED!

Recently, a friends dog had an unfortunate stinky encounter with a skunk. I haven't heard how the bath went - I am still waiting on the results. At the clinic though - many clients were surprised that this recipe works! Here is it:

3 lg bottles of hydrogen peroxide ( pharmacy)
1 cup baking soda
1 squirt dishsoap ( most dishsoaps will do preferably Dawn though!)
...
Wet pet down and work mixture through pet's hair
Leave on for 5 mins
Rinse Very Well
Avoid eyes!
