MY 2012 RESOLUTION FOR BLACK LABRADOR LITTERMATES KRATOS & TARO

Another year gone.. Where did the time go? This entry was supposed to be posted a few days ago but I was, and continue to be, busy playing with my new ipad2! One of my resolutions for 2012 is to blog more, now I have no excuse really :) I'm using my iPad now.

Happy 2012 Puppy Love Blog followers!

My new years resolution is to teach the boys a variety of new tricks - more advanced tricks. I recently purchasd a 101 dog trick book and I can't wait to put it to use.

In addition to physical exercise, mental exercise is also important. Indoor games such as "find it" can be very useful for days that only a quick walk around the block is possible. Let's face it - even I take "rain days" and some days I can't spend hours frolicking about.

Not only does the trick teaching session strengthen the bond between your pooch and you, some of the tricks require the use of muscles and coordination that Fido wouldn't be exposed to during regular walk/play time. I also read that the more you teach your dog the quicker he will be to learn more advanced tricks. This is going to be fun!

Aside from teaching them more tricks, I also want to spend more time in the trails this year. We'll see how that goes weather wise - I dislike wet, muddy, your feet sink into the ground hikes.
I'll keep everybody posted!
